Individuals can claim immediately as we will waive the usual 13 week qualifying period. Cover commences from the date on the policy certificate and individuals can claim for treatment received on or after this date. Cover for all benefits is immediate except for the maternity/adoption benefit which has a 52 week qualifying period. Pre-existing conditions (a condition that existed prior to joining) are not covered except for optical, dental, chiropody/podiatry and health screening benefits.
