Half the amount paid by you for medically prescribed surgical appliances up to the appropriate maximum in one benefit year or twice in a 5 year period.
Benefit is payable for:
- Abdominal, lumber supports, surgical corsets, trusses
- Mastectomy items
- Surgical stockings, arch supports and orthotic insoles
- Nebulisers
- Wigs when supplied through a medical prescription
Benefit is not payable for:
- Surgical implants
- Mobility aids, e.g. wheelchairs, crutches
- Sexual/contraceptive aids
- Surgical shoes
- Repairs and batteries
