Thanks to a lucky win at the annual Marie Curie Yorkshire Brain Game, Sovereign staff enjoyed a memorable day at Farm Adventure – a family-run farm in Masham well known for its unique experiences.

We were fortunate to have beautiful weather on the day to make the most of the stunning Yorkshire Dales setting.

We were divided into teams to tackle a series of farm-themed challenges, including sheep and pig herding, welly wanging, tractor driving, egg throwing, and even a farmer’s scramble.

The competitive spirit was intense; every single person gave it everything they had and learnt some new skills along the way!

Sovereign CEO, Neil, praised the event, saying: “At Sovereign Health Care we believe better health is for everyone, and what better way to promote this among our staff than a day in the countryside learning new skills and enjoying the summer weather. We had a wonderful time chasing sheep, slaloming tractors, herding pigs and throwing eggs, and it was great to see how much everyone enjoyed taking part. Team building never felt so much fun!”

The day at Farm Adventure was a fantastic experience, filled with unforgettable moments and with staff sharing overwhelmingly positive feedback. Key Account Manager, Barbara, shared her thoughts on the Farm Day: “What a fabulous day we had! The weather was definitely on our side with sun hats, sun cream and plenty of water needed. There was a great sense of competitive team spirit all round, and my team came in 3rd place out of 4. I participated in all the activities and especially enjoyed the tractor driving, where I won my heat. It was a great opportunity to connect with colleagues from other departments and do some real team building. I definitely got to know how competitive some of my colleagues are!”
