Hope for Tomorrow provides mobile cancer care units (MCCUs) into the heart of communities across England, working with NHS Trusts to allow them to treat cancer patients closer to where they live. Weâre proud to be supporting them towards the maintenance and service of one of their MCCUs which operates in West Yorkshire.
âWe at Hope for Tomorrow would like to extend our sincere thanks to Sovereign Health Care Community Programme for their generous grant that has enabled us to maintain our mobile cancer care unit in Yorkshire. This unit provides a vital service to patients living in rural areas, offering convenient access to cancer treatment in locations such as Bingley, Ilkley, Settle, and Skipton. By avoiding long commutes to the main hospital and offering free parking, we aim to reduce stress and improve the overall patient experience. Last year 7717 treatments were delivered onboard saving each patient an average of 17 travel miles and 2.5 hours for each visit.â â Jane, Hope for Tomorrow
