Charitable Trust

Sovereign Health Care is proud of its long history of charitable giving, latterly achieved through Sovereign Health Care Charitable Trust. The company doesn’t have shareholders; any surplus it makes is reinvested in the business or given to the charitable trust.

Over the past 7 years the charitable trust has donated in excess of £4 million to good causes – essentially either

  • local organisations that improve the health and wellbeing of people in Bradford and the surrounding area or
  • national health-related charities that provide a clear benefit to people in the area.

If you’re thinking of applying, please read our Guidelines first – use the menu on the left for details of what we support (and don’t support) and how to apply.

Sovereign Health Care has always been based in Bradford, a city rich in history and culture but one with areas of serious deprivation and structural health inequalities. The health issues facing people in Bradford are of particular concern to the trustees of Sovereign Health Care Charitable Trust. Click on current concerns for more information.

The trustees are privileged to hear about ways in which charities and voluntary groups are tackling problems, improving the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people, and providing opportunities and facilities that can transform the quality of life for all of us.
