Meanwood Valley Urban Farm is a working farm outside Leeds City Centre with a wide variety of animals and is a major centre for community and environmental work. We’ve recently made a donation to support their immersive weekly volunteering programme, working in partnership with adults with learning difficulties.

“The support from Sovereign Health Care enables us to run our real working, chemical-free market garden for our adults with learning disabilities groups, our volunteering groups and our traineeship programme. Their donation will help as many people as possible access the market garden by installing more disabled-access paths, making sure that we can get all the seed, compost and other basic essentials we need to grow the many thousands of plants that feed the groups we work with. We waste nothing, as all surplus food is donated to Rainbow Junktion, who feed the most vulnerable from their cafe in the Hyde Park area from surplus produce around West Yorkshire.”
